The latest innovations in technology will be presented at TechCrunch Disrupt, a convention held at the Copper Box Arena in London. Several startups will compete for the Disrupt Cup, which comes with a $50,000 prize. The judges include TechCrunch editors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and previous winners like Dropbox and Yammer.
As of August 2015, 543 companies took part and more than $5.7 billion was raised. This year, there are several innovative ideas. Veyo Care is a startup focusing on eldery care with the goal of matching senior citizens with caregivers. Lystable found an opportunity in the freelance market and developed a supplier management program that helps companies find and hire freelancers. The goal is to make the process of contracting writers, photographers, engineers, and other professionals easy. One more innovation making its debut at Disrupt London is the e-Shower from Hamwells. It features several new technologies including a mixing filter that recycles used water. This reuses 90% of shower water.
