LG unveiled a new TV that’s like wallpaper. It’s only 1/10th of an inch thick. It attaches to the wall with magnetic brackets. It is part of the W series of TVs that LG launched two years ago. It will cost one or two thousand dollars more than the OLED TV released by LG last year, which costs $8,000. There are two display sizes – a 65-inch model and a 77-inch model.
LG unveiled a few other gadgets at CES 2017. Their fridges have a wireless touchscreen panel. They also revealed a smart speaker hub that controls lights, play music, and offers personal assistant options. It looks like a robot; it has a glass face with large eyes.
In addition to the personal robot, LG revealed a series of robots that clean floors and escort you around public spaces. At airports, it would scan your boarding pass and give you information about your destination (gate number, weather, etc.)
